On the occasion of the World Water Day, flashback on my Paris-Dubai motorcycle trip in April 2003 on the theme of Water (the Blue Gold) which is very close to my heart.
After a change of itinerary, we travelled 9000 km through France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran to finish in the United Arab Emirates and we made the largest private donation to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Dubai that year, which allowed MSF to become known locally thanks to our press campaign (newspapers, TV, Radio …).
With this collection, we were able to build wells in Africa to facilitate access to water for the local population.
Water is just as important in the #Middle East #dubai and during our mission 2021 – EXPO2020DUBAI, the #France pavilion will have the Ocean as its theme from March 18, 2022, to March 31, 2022: discover, preserve and exploit our oceans for sustainable development.
